Francophone Mobility Program
No LMIA for French‑Speaking Professionals
Work in Canada (outside Quebec) without a Labour Market Impact Assessment.
Eligibility Criteria
- French proficiency: Oral and written French at CLB 5 or higher (test results required)
- Job offer from a Canadian employer in any province except Quebec
- Employer only needs to pay the compliance fee ($1,000) – no recruitment/advertising required
- Job can be any TEER level (0‑5)
Processing & Duration
Because there is no LMIA, IRCC processes Francophone Mobility applications in 2‑4 weeks (online). Work permits are usually for 2 years, and are employer‑specific (closed) but can be extended.

Application Steps
1. Take an approved French test (TEF or TCF Canada) – CLB 5 minimum
