What is the International Mobility Program (IMP)?
The IMP allows Canadian employers to hire foreign workers without a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). It covers categories that bring significant economic, social, or cultural benefits to Canada.
Unlike the TFWP, IMP work permits can be open (allowing you to work for any employer) or employer‑specific but without the LMIA requirement.
Key LMIA‑Exempt Categories
